These artworks are inspired by Celtic history, art and culture. The historical texts of Peter Berresford Ellis and others have provided an intellectual inspiration that has manifested into the creation of these beautiful, natural-looking images. I'm intrigued by the results from these investigations. The compositions seem to grow out of my own understanding of the natural world. The forms take shape organically to become all sorts of natural objects, beings and landscape features. I find it rewarding that the end result seems to share the "DNA" of Celtic art works from so long ago. The line work and colors I've discovered are like jewels wrapped in the fantastic, swirling aesthetic of traditional Celtic art.
